252 Program

Our curriculum (beginning March 2) is focused on praying, seeking wise council, and making needed changes to give children a firm foundation to build on for the rest of their lives.

Who Is It For?

Kids in kindergarden-5th grade. It is appealing to different kinds of learners and biblically and educationally sound.

What Does It Look Like?

There are three components, each targeted to a particular type of learning. They are:

  1. Plug In
  2. Power Up
  3. Catch On

Learn about the three components.

Our Children

The Three Components

Plug In

Children meet with a mentor for approximately 15 minutes (1-7 ratio) on a circle of carpet and talk about what each child's concerns are, how their week went, and what can make the next week better. Prayer requests are expressed and a hint is given about what the week's topic will be. Four teams of 3-4 mentors share this time with the kids. Mentors are an important aspect of the childrens' lives, giving them another Christian to echo the parents' concerns and hpes.

Power Up

Children will be engaged in worship for an hour within a large group setting (mentors are dismissed back to adult worship if they so choose). Music, skits, prayer and innovative approaches to Bible storis are part of this interactive time. High school students teach lessons with dramatic flare.

Catch On

This is the class hour designed to help kids understand how the week's topic applies to them. they discuss real-life experiences, interact with a close-knit group of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles. The goal is for them to begin talking at the dinner table about the week's topic with their parents ... partners in their childrens' spiritual growth.
