The College Church of Christ opened its doors in December of 1964 with the intent of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to the community. It was a church planting that was seeded by the Palm Avenue Church of Christ. It started with a little over 200 members, and grew into a church family involved in many forms of ministry.

The College Church of Christ is:

A refuge where you can find care during hardship. Our Shepherding Groups are vital in tending to the needs of each person. We don't want anyone to get lost in the crowd!

A connection point for making a difference in this world. Our members are very concerned about working together to serve the homeless, the lost, the bereaved, the sick, and the disadvantaged.

A foundation for building eternal friendships. Fellowship activities are provided regularly to facilitate new ties.

A tool shed where you can find all of the Biblical insight and know-how for a personal ministry of your own. We urge every member to perform some function in the Body of Christ with their God-given talent.

A weekly launching pad for worship that will continue throughout the week. Our assembly will hopefully be one of many moments this week where God will be honored in your songs, prayers, and thoughts.

A melting pot for various cultures, viewpoints, ages, and social classes. Diversity is always an opportunity for growth.

A greenhouse for growing your children or teens. We believe in investing heavily in the future. Your child is extremely important to the Lord, and consequently, your child is a priority in this church family.

A home for anyone wanting to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Opportunity

Due to this family's diversity, there are numerous places for you to find your niche. Opportunities abound at College. We believe that this is God's church, consequently, He can give responsibility to whomever He calls into service. There is an opportunity for you to serve and be served. A nurturing climate exists where you can grow up into Christ.

Challenge

We give you full permission to assertively apply yourself in this church family. Ask, seek, knock ... feel free to volunteer. Pursue guidance from our leadership if you need a helping hand ... We want to do whatever we can to help you to find your place at the College Church. Step #1 is identifying a shepherding group. Much support and activity springs from these groups. We challenge you to lay a solid foundation of eternal friendships that will lead to a focused life in the body of Christ. Welcome new friend!
